77th Annual Exhibition of the Society of Wood Engravers (SWE) to be held at the Kevis House Gallery, Petworth from 25th April to 20th May (Monday - Saturday 10.30 am - 5.30pm). Further details can be found on the gallery website www.kevishouse.com and the SWE site http://www.woodengarvers.co.uk/

Review - Frame Warehouse:
I have been using FRAME WAREHOUSE for obtaining bespoke picture frames over the last 10yrs. Prices are half what one pays IATA local framers. Large selection of styles, very well made frames, quick service. They have recently upgraded their service, gone digital and available for ordering online. I have not even looked at the website till now but you give picture size , mount requirements, frame style etc. they create the measurements and tell you price. Overnight delivery (??). To watch the Moscow City Ballet in rehearsal at G-Live was very exciting. Trying to observe and draw the dancers was another matter. It was exhausting! These supple creatures were constantly moving with their limbs in every conceivable position and if I had imagined producing a Degas than I was much mistaken!! The three hour rehearsal was followed by a magnificent three hour performance of Romeo and Juliet full of drama in a Russian interpretation of the ballet. It was a wonderful experience enjoyed by twenty of Guildford Art Society members and we are grateful for the invitation.
